Spectra

Spectra is a laser-like fluorescent device. Similar to the DIAGNOdent, Spectra allows us to detect cavities even before they are visible on x rays. When we shine Spectra onto a tooth, the fluorescent light technology causes microscopic cavities to light up in a red color. This allows us to precisely pinpoint the cavity before it is visible by other technologies. Earlier detection leads to smaller fillings, which helps us preserve the esthetics of a smile and prevent costly procedures in the future.
